Little Lady
Gigi from Cranston Rhode Island, USA:
My name is Gigi. I walk in my neighborhood every morning and one day I passed a house where an elderly woman lives. Every morning she comes out and waves to me and then goes back into the house. On occasion she will talk with me and call me by my name. My name that must be familiar to her. One morning when I started out on my walk I saw her trying to cross a main street. The moment I approached her I took her arm gently and walked her back to her house and made sure she was secure before I left. I did not call the police as I did not want to make her feel uncomfortable or have her think that she had done something wrong or cause alarm. Her family was very grateful and it made me happy to have helped her.
Together we are stronger
Michael from Scituate Rhode Island, USA:
„Fishing is top priority for my son Domenic and I. We spend as much of our free time as possible on the docks in Galilee RI, on my father-in-law’s boat, or at local lakes catching striped bass, tuna, pickerel, trout, etc. It’s a true passion that we both share and the time together is priceless. I have to swallow my pride and admit, Domenic usually catches the biggest fish….he’s got an undeniable gift and it’s awesome to witness.
Last week we were at one of our favorite spots in Narragansett, RI having a great day and noticed an old man struggling to put his boat on his trailer by himself. We ran to help him and the 3 of us working together made the task much easier. The man was very grateful and I couldn’t believe how great it made me feel and I know my son felt the same. We were fishing for fish but caught an opportunity to help someone who needed us.“
“ Today I made someone happy by giving them a drawing!“
Jacqueline, 6 years old from Virginia, USA:
Jacqueline’s mom told her to let her know if she did something nice for someone so that her Auntie Gina – founder of Make Someone Happy Company – could tell her story to inspire other people to do nice things too.
She drew this lovely smiley face blowing a kiss and said: „Today I made someone happy by giving them a drawing!“
I bet now you are smiling … it´s the small gestures … 🙂
